Awards

[column size=”3×2″ first=”true”]In 2012, Australian Wine Guru, James Halliday, awarded Paramoor Winery a 5 star rating in his definitive wine guide, ‘James Halliday’s 2013 Australian Wine Companion’.  Five stars indicates that Paramoor is an ‘outstanding winery capable of producing wines of very high quality…..and will have at least two wines rated at 94 points or above.’

James Halliday has given several of our wines very high scores in his recent wine companion, with the 2009 ‘Joan Picton’ Pinot Noir being rated at an exceptional 96.

Other ratings were 2009 ‘The Fraser’ Shiraz Cabinet Sauvignon and 2010 ‘Joan Picton’ Pinot Noir, each 94 points (outstanding wines); and the 2009 ‘Master Angus’ Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 92 points (highly recommended).

Many other critics have been equally as effusive, awarding Paramoor Winery numerous gold medals and ‘best in class’ trophies at wine shows all around the country.

Paramoor Winery’s recent highlights include:

2009 THE FRASER Shiraz/Cabernet Sauvignon Blend awarded the Gold medal and trophy for best in its class, Best Cabernet and Blends, judged by a panel of French wine experts at the prestigious ‘Le Concours des vins Du Victoria’ in 2011…

And in the Pinot Noir class at the 2011 Macedon Ranges Wine Exhibition, Paramoor’s 2009 and 2010 Joan Picton Pinot Noir each took home a Gold award, placing first and second respectively.  In the 2011 Victorian Wine Show, Paramoor’s 2009 Master Angus Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot was awarded a Gold medal and ranked 1st in its class.

With a swag of awards under its belt, and the upcoming vintage already showing promise, Paramoor is catapulting toward the very top echelon of the Australian boutique wine industry… Made with real care and pride, and celebrating genuine local notes, Paramoor’s handmade wines capture the essence of this unique and stunning region.[/column] [column size=”3×1″ last=”true”]
