Dr Will Fraser, as Paramoor Winery’s owner and wine-maker, carefully hand selects grapes from his own vines and from the wide range of high quality wines available to him throughout the Macedon Ranges and Central Victoria.

By using a combination of state-of-the-art equipment and age-old technique, Will has perfected a range of wines that are not only unique, but lauded by wine-lovers from around Australia.

Will’s philosophy has always been to favour quality over quantity.

“Because of this, production runs are often small”, explains Will, “but the quality is always exceptional”.

Despite its modest output (about 1500 cases per annum), Paramoor makes a wide selection of wines from Chardonnay, Riesling and Pinot Gris, through to Rose, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and Merlot. Will also insists on keeping his wines affordable – after all, what’s the point of making great wines, if only a select few can enjoy them?

It’s this ‘great wines at reasonable prices’ ideal that has made Paramoor a favourite in this part of the world since its beginnings in 2005. In recent years some of Australia’s best wine critics have also discovered Paramoor – and they like what they’ve found.
