What makes Paramoor Winery and Farm different from other wedding venues?
Paramoor Winery and Farm offer couples the freedom to create a wedding that feels authentically theirs. We do not believe in rigid packages or one-size-fits-all celebrations. Instead, we combine a beautiful working farm and winery setting with flexible options, transparent pricing, and personalised support to help you shape a relaxed and memorable day.
With ceremony spaces across the estate the Barn, onsite Cottage accommodation, vineyard, and the flexibility to choose the suppliers and style that suit you, Paramoor is designed for couples who want a wedding that feels personal, and genuinely their own.
How far is Paramoor from Melbourne?
Paramoor is located in the Macedon Ranges, approximately one hour from Melbourne. Couples and guests can enjoy the feeling of a country wedding without travelling too far from the city.
With onsite parking, nearby accommodation options, and local transport recommendations available, the estate offers a relaxed regional setting while still being easy for guests to
reach.
Can we book in a tour?
Of course. We warmly encourage couples to visit the estate, explore the grounds, and experience the atmosphere for themselves before making a decision.
Our Cellar Door is open on Saturdays and Sundays, so you are very welcome to drop in for
a glass of wine and a wander around. Samantha loves to spend some one-on-one time with each couple who visits, so we recommend calling ahead to make sure she is available.
If weekends do not suit, please feel free to reach out and we can arrange a time during the week that works for you.
Can we hold both the ceremony and reception at Paramoor?
Absolutely. Many couples choose to enjoy their entire wedding day here, from pre-wedding preparations to the ceremony through to the reception.
With beautiful ceremony locations across the estate and our rustic barn-style reception space, your guests can simply arrive, settle in, and enjoy the day without needing to travel between venues. It creates a relaxed, seamless experience and allows everyone to fully immerse themselves in the celebration.
How many guests can we have?
Paramoor can host up to 110 guests for a seated meal, or up to 130 guests for a cocktail- style celebration.
We do not have a minimum guest number, allowing couples the flexibility to create a celebration that feels right for them.
Do you allow children?
Children are warmly welcomed at Paramoor. We love seeing young guests enjoy the space and sense of wonder that comes with being on the estate.
As Paramoor is a working winery and farm, with a large dam, farm machinery, and natural outdoor areas, children must be supervised at all times. We can also assist with recommendations for professional child minding and outdoor games for your event.
Do you allow pets?
Yes, beloved pets are welcome to be part of your celebration at Paramoor. Over the years, we have welcomed dogs of all sizes, cats and even horses.
As we are a working farm, pets must remain under control at all times and for their comfort have a dedicated minder on the day.
Pets are welcome to join your ceremony and photo moments and may also stay onsite with you in the Cottage (or nearby paddock) by prior arrangement.
Can we choose our own vendors?
Yes. We believe your wedding should reflect your style, priorities, and the experience you want to create for your guests.
You are welcome to work with your preferred vendors, including your own catering team, or we can recommend trusted local suppliers and catering options who know the estate well.
Are catering and bar staff included?
Paramoor offers couples the flexibility to choose catering that suits their style and celebration. Your selected caterer will provide the staff required for food preparation and meal service on the day.
As a working winery, Paramoor provides the required RSA bar staff for your event. Staffing requirements will be confirmed once your guest numbers, meal style, and beverage service have been finalised.
Do you allow food trucks?
Yes. Food trucks are welcome at Paramoor and can be a wonderful way to create a relaxed, personal, and memorable dining experience for your guests. They can also be mixed and matched with more formal meal styles.
As every event is different, food truck requirements will be discussed as part of your
planning, including access, placement, power, service style and how they fit within the
overall flow of your day.
We are happy to work with your preferred food truck supplier or provide recommendations
for local options that suit the style of celebration you are creating.
Will you help us plan the flow of the day?
Yes. While every wedding at Paramoor is unique, you will not be left to work everything out on your own.
We work with you to understand your priorities, guest numbers, suppliers, meal style, beverage service, timings, and the overall experience you want to create. From there, we help shape a clear plan for how the day will flow across the estate, so the details feel considered, practical, and easy to understand.
What does an on-the-day coordinator do, and do I need one?
At Paramoor, our on-the-day coordination service is included as part of our venue package, helping ensure your wedding day runs smoothly from start to finish.
Your coordinator is there to manage the flow of the day, liaise with suppliers, oversee the timeline, and support the many practical details that bring your celebration together. From ceremony set-up through to reception formalities, their role is to keep everything moving calmly and seamlessly behind the scenes.
We also recommend appointing an emcee to guide your guests through the key moments of the day, make announcements, and help maintain the flow of formalities. This may be a family member or friend, or we can provide recommendations for a professional emcee. This allows you to relax, enjoy your day, and be fully present with your guests while the finer details are taken care of.
How does supplier access and set-up work?
Supplier access, set-up, and bump-out requirements will be confirmed as part of your planning. We will work with you and your suppliers to understand delivery times, access needs, placement, power requirements, and how each element fits within the overall layout and flow of the day.
Where possible, we offer flexible bump-in and bump-out times to make set-up and pack- down easier for your suppliers. Samantha is also happy to arrange a virtual walkthrough of the event space should your supplier wish to understand the property in more detail.
How many weddings do you do per day?
Your celebration is our sole focus at Paramoor. We host one wedding at a time, allowing you and your guests to fully relax and enjoy the property, the views and the atmosphere.
Most of our wedding options include onsite accommodation, giving you the opportunity to settle in and make the most of your time at Paramoor. Depending on your chosen package, this usually includes exclusive use of the Cottage, gardens, ceremony spaces, and reception areas for the duration of your stay.
Is there on-site parking?
Yes, Paramoor has on-site parking available for up to 60 cars.
To make travel easier for your guests, we recommend arranging a local bus or shuttle service. Guests can be picked up and dropped off in nearby towns, allowing everyone to relax and enjoy the celebration.
We are happy to provide recommendations for trusted local transport providers.
Is Paramoor suitable for guests with accessibility needs?
Paramoor is a working farm and winery, so some areas of the estate include natural ground, gravel, grass, and gentle slopes. We will talk through your guest requirements with you during the planning process and help identify the most suitable access points, parking options, ceremony locations, and event layout for your day.
If you have guests with specific accessibility needs, we recommend discussing this with us early so we can ensure their comfort.

Sparklers may be used in the paved areas around the Barn, subject to current fire danger ratings and any advice or restrictions from local authorities.

Yes. Paramoor has wet weather options in place to ensure your day remains beautiful and relaxed, whatever the weather.

Do you allow marquees?
Yes. marquees are welcome at Paramoor and can be a beautiful addition to your celebration, particularly for creating extra covered space or enhancing the flow of your day.

Are there any additional costs we should be aware of?
We believe in transparent pricing and clear communication from the beginning.
Following your venue tour, we will confirm pricing and inclusions based on your proposed plans, chosen package, guest numbers, and event style, so you have a clear understanding of what is included.
Is there accommodation onsite?

Depending on your chosen package, the Cottage may be available for one, two, or three nights, allowing you to settle in and enjoy more time on the estate.
Aside from our onsite Cottage, there are many local accommodation options nearby to suit different needs, group sizes, and styles of stay. We are happy to provide recommendations for your guests, and both the Visit Macedon Ranges website and the Macedon Ranges Accommodation Association are helpful resources for exploring accommodation in the region.
How far in advance should we book?
Popular dates can book well in advance, particularly during peak wedding seasons. We recommend getting in touch as early as possible to secure your preferred date.
