A 57.6%/42.4% blend of grapes drawn from two vineyards, one in Heathcote and the other in Goulburn Valley.  Bright crimson purple with classy black currant and red currant fruit and firm tannins.  Matured in French Oak barrels for 12 months.  93 points James Halliday.

2017 Update: In 2014 we decided to put 100 cases of the 2010 ‘Sanddhill’ back into long term storage.   We did so because we thought it would age well – and we were correct!   It was always a fine wine but now it has moved to another level.   The blackberry fruit flavours are still vibrant, but now we have the addition of lovelier aging tannins character which include distinct liquorice notes.
