The 2024 Vintage.
Established in 1995, Glenhope sits between 450–485m altitude and experiences cool-climate conditions ideal for elegant, slow-ripening fruit. Soils are a mix of granite, sandy loam, and volcanic ash, providing excellent drainage and mineral influence, whilst a minimal spray regime supports biodiversity and vineyard health. This vineyard has been a huge surprise! The quality of fruit has been incredible.
The vintage was was a game of two halves, until new year rain was a major feature which brings with it a range of disease pressures, but this was followed up by a long lingering summer.

Originally destined for blending — but the fruit had other plans. Perfumed, expressive and varietally true. Lifted aromatics, supple mid-palate, and beautifully integrated tannins.
This bright and expressive young Cabernet Franc opens with lifted aromatics of redcurrant, raspberry, and wild strawberry, framed by a distinctive peppery spice. The nose is alive with crushed black pepper, violets, and a subtle herbal thread, offering both vibrancy and intrigue. On the palate, it’s juicy and energetic. Red fruits burst forward with purity and precision, carried by fine silky tannins and a supple acid line. There’s impressive depth for such a youthful wine, with a savoury undercurrent and spice-laced finish that lingers for some time.
