How many guests can stay?

What is the bedding configuration?
The Cottage has two comfortable bedrooms: one bedroom with a Queen bed, and a second bedroom with a King Single bed and a Single bed. Quality linen and towels are provided for every stay.

Is The Cottage suitable for families?
Yes. The Cottage comfortably accommodates up to four guests and can suit families or small groups wanting to experience the Macedon Ranges together. As Paramoor is a working winery and farm, children must be supervised whenever they are outdoors.

What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 3:00 pm and check-out is by 11:00 am. Detailed arrival and access instructions are provided before your stay.

Can I arrive earlier or check out later?
Early check-in or late check-out may be available by prior arrangement, subject to availability and the timing of other bookings. Please contact Samantha before your stay to discuss your request.

Can I change my booking dates?
Where possible, we are happy to assist with booking amendments. Changes are subject to availability, any applicable rate difference and the terms of the original booking. Please contact us as soon as possible if your plans change.

What is your cancellation policy?
Our Booking Policy explains the cancellation terms, booking amendments, refunds and other important conditions applying to direct reservations. We encourage guests to review it before completing a booking.

Do I need to pay a deposit?
The payment required to confirm your stay will be clearly shown during the booking process. Unless a different payment schedule is displayed and accepted at the time of booking, full payment is required to secure a direct reservation.

Is it better to book direct?
Booking directly through our website gives you direct communication with Samantha and access to the rates and inclusions displayed by Paramoor at the time of booking. It also allows us to assist personally with special requests and longer or repeat stays.

Do you offer gift vouchers or special offers?
Gift vouchers may be available for accommodation, wine experiences or special occasions. Seasonal offers may also be released from time to time. Please contact Samantha or follow Paramoor online for current options.

What amenities are included?
The Cottage has everything needed for a comfortable short or extended stay, including a fully equipped kitchen, open-plan living and dining area, complimentary Wi-Fi, Smart TV, heating and air conditioning, a wood-burning fireplace, washing machine, iron and ironing board, barbecue, quality linen and towels, and two bathrooms.

Is free Wi-Fi available?
Yes. Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided. As Paramoor is a rural property, internet and mobile reception may occasionally vary.

Is there heating and air conditioning?
Yes. The Cottage has heating and air conditioning, as well as a cosy wood-burning fireplace for cooler Macedon Ranges evenings.

Is firewood provided?
A reasonable supply of firewood is provided during the cooler months. The fireplace must not be used during fire restrictions or when conditions make its use unsafe.

Bring your clothing, personal toiletries, food and any special items you may need. Linen, towels, kitchen equipment and the everyday essentials for a comfortable stay are provided.

Is The Cottage pet-friendly?
Yes. Pets are welcome by prior arrangement and must be included in your booking. Owners are responsible for supervising their pets, cleaning up after them and ensuring they do not disturb wildlife, livestock or neighbouring properties.

Is the garden fenced?
Yes. The Cottage garden is fenced to assist guests travelling with pets. However, no fence can be guaranteed to contain every animal, so pets must remain supervised and under their owners control.

Is The Cottage accessible?
The Cottage has convenient on-site parking and level access to the main living areas. However, it is character country cottage and is not fully wheelchair accessible. The Queen bedroom and claw-foot bathroom are upstairs and accessed by a staircase. The ground floor includes a bedroom with a King, Single and Single bed, together with a bathroom containing a shower and toilet. Please contact Samantha before booking to discuss any particular access needs.

Is The Cottage suitable for NDIS participants?
The Cottage may suit some NDIS participants, depending on their individual needs, support arrangements and the Cottage layout. It is not Specialist Disability Accommodation and is not suitable for guests who require full wheelchair accessibility or extensive physical-access modifications. Participants, families, support coordinators and plan managers are encouraged to contact Samantha before booking so the property can be considered against the guests specific needs.

Can we visit the Cellar Door?
Yes. The Paramoor Cellar Door generally opens on weekends, and guests staying over a weekend receive a complimentary wine tasting during normal opening hours. Current opening details will be confirmed before your visit.

Can we purchase wine?
Yes. Paramoor wines are available to purchase from the Cellar Door during opening hours.

Can we explore the property?
Guests are welcome to enjoy the Cottage garden and designated guest areas. Paramoor is a working winery and farm and also includes a private residence, so the vineyard, winery, sheds, paddocks, machinery areas and private residence are not open for general guest access.

What wildlife might we see?
Paramoor is home to abundant native birdlife and wildlife. Depending on the season and time of day, guests may see kangaroos, koalas, echidnas and a wonderful variety of native birds. Wildlife should be observed from a respectful distance, and extra care should be taken when driving around dawn, dusk and at night.

Can I charge an electric vehicle?
Please contact Samantha before arrival if you need to charge an electric vehicle. Charging from ordinary household outlets is not permitted without prior approval.

Are parties or gatherings permitted?
No. The Cottage is intended for peaceful accommodation. Parties, functions, commercial activities, events and unapproved visitors are not permitted without prior written approval.

What is there to do nearby?

How far is The Cottage from Melbourne?
The Cottage is just over an hour from Melbourne, making it easy to enjoy a country stay without travelling too far from the city.

Do I need a car?
Yes. A car is recommended to reach Paramoor and make the most of the wineries, villages, walks and attractions throughout the Macedon Ranges and surrounding regions.

Are there restaurants and shops nearby?
Yes. The nearby towns of Kyneton, Woodend and Lancefield offer a wide choice of cafés, bakeries, country pubs, restaurants, supermarkets, boutique stores and essential services. Regional opening days can vary, so we recommend checking current hours and reserving popular restaurants in advance.

Is there a restaurant at Paramoor?
There is no restaurant at Paramoor. Weekend guests are welcome to visit the Cellar Door for their complimentary tasting, and the surrounding towns provide plenty of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

When is the best time to visit?
Every season offers something different. Spring brings gardens and new growth, summer is ideal for exploring villages and wineries, autumn is known for striking colour, and winter brings crisp days and cosy evenings beside the fire.

Do you offer longer stays?
Yes. Subject to availability, we welcome longer stays for guests relocating, renovating, visiting family, working in the region or simply needing a comfortable base for an extended period. Please contact Samantha to discuss availability and longer-stay arrangements.

Can you assist families needing temporary accommodation through insurance?

We are happy to communicate with guests, insurers or case managers and discuss the practical requirements of the stay.

Do you offer regular accommodation for people working in the area?

What happens during a Total Fire Ban, severe weather or another emergency?
Guest safety is our priority. Paramoor operates in accordance with the advice and directions of Victorias emergency services. If conditions affect a stay, Samantha will communicate with guests and provide guidance based on official instructions. If evacuation is required, the usual assembly point is the centre of the main guest car park unless emergency services or Samantha direct guests elsewhere. In a life-threatening emergency, call 000 immediately.
